About Our Client

Our client is the market leader in the fast-growing category of connected health and fitness products. they are passion about their products in US, and seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to help them to meet business objective

Job Description

Manage and grow a team of Mechanical, Tooling, and Process Engineers producing innovative designs and qualifying them for high volume mass production.

1. Partner with the US ME team to design new products and review quality in terms of performance requirements and Design for Manufacturing.

2. Collaborate with other teams (ID, EE, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Reliability) to drive product qualification at the component and system level

3. Execute ME product development and qualification through to stable, high volume mass production.

Manage resources to insure adequate, hands-on attention to technical issues at component suppliers and final assembly partners.

4. Travel regularly to company‘s suppliers throughout Asia to support builds and strengthen partner relationships.

The Successful Applicant

1. 8+ years of industry experience with 2+ years of experience leading or managing teams of 5 or more engineers.

2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to influence decision makers in other teams

3. Technical expertise, with successful completion of multiple consumer products

4. Creative ideas for creating a nurturing environment for professional development

5. Experience leading a team of mechanical engineers and also acting as a ihands-on? technical contributor

Highly proficient in 3D MCAD. Prefer ProEngineer / Creo

6. Deep knowledge in some of the following areas: DFM, DFA, plastic and metal injection, sheetmetal forming, mechanisms, optics.

Experience with ODM or CM model of product development

7. B.S., M.S. (preferred) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
